The real pain starts tomorrow when Dee gets up around 3:30am tomorrow in order to hit the stores for the sales. I, of course, will be safely asleep and hoping that Daniel doesn't wake up too early.
A number of people are cunningly avoiding excessive Turkey consumption by camping outside the stores already. Yes, rather than spend the day with family they are sitting out in sub-zero temperatures waiting for the sales to start. Some of these sales start at 1 minute past minute.
Colloquially our American friends call this time of year the "holiday season". Given what I have witnessed over the past few years, its more like the season of conspicuous consumption.
I'll admit there are some serious bargains to be had (Dee has her eye on a 28 bottle wine cooler that is now only a shade over $100 rather than $300), but I would still rather skip the cooler and get a few extra hours in bed.
I'll report on the day and the shopping expedition in due course.
